A pretty flower for a pretty lady.
This is a CD sculpture using a new technique I'm trialling. My process:
1. Coat a piece of wire (the stem) in hot glue. Garnish with toothpicks for thorns
2. Spray paint the stem with chrome paint
3. Cut petal shapes out of CDs with a pair of kitchen scissors
4. Warp and hand shape petals with a heat gun
5. Glue petals to the chrome stem
Hope you like it!
I like the softened look of the petals. I take it your heating them up. Are you doing your own metal work for the stems?
Love it. Like that you've shared your process.
awsome colors, and nice product photogaphy too! it really brings out the best of the rose. wich is awesome too.
I'm glad you like the photography! I always struggle with it.
oh Damn.. I love this change in style very much, Don't get me wrong, I always loved your work but at times when I check my inbox, your artwork kinda blend together & I was wondering if you'll make a change, But this is nothing I could have ever expected, although a simple flower it as alive or more than anything you ever made IMO. Thanks
Thanks so much! I'm definitely moving to new ways of doing things — I've done my old style to death.
Yeah. Just saw the creature you added to the flower. It is spectacular. The shades & colors it gave is amazing. This new way of doing your art is pure genius & I can't wait to see more of this new style & the places it could take you
WOW!!!! You did that by hand making this! This is so beautiful!!!!
Gorgeous! Love the colours!
